Wanda June Wilson, 90, of
Aubrey, TX, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025. Wanda was born November 22, 1935, to Odman Snell and Oma Duncan. Wanda married John Henry Wilson September 6, 1952, in Oklahoma.
Wanda was a cherished member of our community and a loving presence in the lives of her family and friends. She grew up in the close-knit town of Tioga, where she created many fond memories that shaped her generous spirit.
Wanda dedicated a part of her professional life to Texas Instruments and later as a nurse's aide. Her kindness and care for others were evident in both her work and her personal life. She had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys, loved traveling and deep-sea fishing, gardening, reading, and had a unique affinity for raising birds, -especially parakeets.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Wanda poured her love into her family. She always embraced every opportunity to host family gatherings, creating an atmosphere where everyone felt welcome. Her home was a haven of love and laughter, where memories were made and cherished.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Judy Dane and husband Carl of Pilot Point, TX; sons, Steve Wilson and wife Darlene of
Aubrey, TX, Jim Wilson and wife Sheila of
Aubrey, TX; sisters, Sue Lopez of Plano, TX and Joyce Wood of Anna, TX; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her son, Richard Allen Wilson; daughter, Sandy Elaine Carpenter; husband, John Henry Wilson; brothers, Dan Snell and Leon Snell; sister, Bobbye Bartel; and parents, Oma and Odman Snell.
As we remember Wanda, let us celebrate her life filled with love, laughter, and kindness.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Wilson Cemetery in
Aubrey, TX with Mr. Garland Wilson officiating.
