Mrs. Wanell Sears Fales, 94, passed away Saturday morning (March 30, 2024) at her residence in Bickley following a brief illness.
She was born in Coffee County to the late Archie Otis Sears and Gussie Westberry Sears. She was employed with various sewing factories in the area including Matt's Jackets but was also the owner and operator of Fales Garments for many years. She was a member of Oak Grove Holiness Baptist Church in Bickley.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Iran William Fales, Sr.; a daughter, Wanda Faye Anderson; a son, Iran William Fales, Jr.; two sisters, Gwendolyn Walker and Mary Alice King; and three brothers, Jimmie Carl Sears, Donald Sears, Sr., and Everett Sears, Sr.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Ira Luke Fales (wife Dana) of Bickley, Greg Eunice (wife Lisa) of Waycross, Craig Eunice of Jacksonville, FL, Mattox Lupinek of Valdosta, and Walker Greer of Bickley; several great grandchildren; a special niece, Karen Vines of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday (April 1, 2024) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m.
