Warren Russell Bean

1942 - 2026

Warren Russell Bean, 83, of Jamaica, Vermont, formerly of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.

Born in Pittsfield on December 9, 1942, Warren was the son of the late Clifton P. Bean and Mildred E. (Collins) Bean. He was raised and educated in Dalton, where he developed the strong work ethic and practical skills that would guide him throughout his life.

A sheet metal mechanic by trade, Warren worked throughout the Berkshires for many years. He was known as a reliable, hardworking man who could always be counted on. Whether for family, friends, or even those he barely knew, Warren was always willing to lend a hand, offering help generously and without hesitation.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Madeline J. (Patterson) Bean, with whom he shared sixty four years together. He also leaves behind four children: Tracy DiGrigoli and her husband Jim of Becket; Warren M. Bean and his wife Lori (Broderick) Bean of Dalton; Lewis Bean and his wife Karri of Acton, California; and Duke Bean of Jamaica, Vermont. He is also survived by his brother, Clifford Bean of Adams; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of pride and joy to him.

He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Smith.

Funeral Notice: There are no services planned at this time. Burial will be private. A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home.
