Warren Freneau Hodges, Sr., 85, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his home in Americus, Georgia.
Born on November 13, 1939 in Americus, Georgia, he was the son of the late John and Mattie Hodges. Mr. Warren enjoyed farming and fishing. He was an avid farmer and was passionate about teaching his sons and grandsons all that he could about the trade of farming. He loved his animals dearly, especially his cow, Miss Willie and his grand dog BB.
He is survived by his life partner, Joan Elizabeth Lardy; his son, Warren F. Hodges, Jr.; his daughter, Susan H. Crenshaw (Kenneth); his son, John O. Statham, Sr. (Becky); his son, Jack M. Hodges, Sr. (Betsy); his daughter, Fran H. Dye; his step-daughter, Wendy E. Hadden (Eric); his step-son, Michael P. Lardy (Lou Ann); as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Fred S. Hodges, Sr.; and his grandson, Bryce Driver.
He will be missed by all that called him TPaw, BeBop, and Pops.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 12, beginning at 2:00PM in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee Street. The family will receive friends for a visitation and hour before the service, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. The Burial will take place at the Hodges Family Cemetery immediately following the service.
