Mr. Warren Johnson was a native of Tampa for all his life aside from his time Active Duty in the U.S. Army. Preceding his collegiate endeavors at HCC and ITT, Mr. Johnson attended Robinson High School, Monroe Middle School, and Booker T. Washington Elementary School. Prior to that he spent many years overseas accompanying his mother, father, and younger siblings during his father's tours of duty in Japan. Mr. Johnson was a member of the U.S. Army where he served honorably in various locations in the United States and abroad before being medically retired.
Mr. Warren Johnson is preceded in death by: his father, Nate Johnson.
He leaves to continue his legacy and cherish his memory: his eldest son, Dijon Johnson; his eldest daughter, Atia Johnson (Frankie); his youngest son, Dennard Johnson (Joshala); his youngest daughter, Destiny Johnson; mother, Jacqueline Johnson(Ricky); younger brother, Solomon Johnson(Irma); younger sister, Rahlawn Johnson; grandchildren, Dijon, Ricardo, Bethelany, Dijontae, Ziyon, Dijonah, Atiereon, Dariel, Eric, Daijon, Julani, Mia, Frankie, Favion, Famyira, Laila, Karter, and Nijon; great granddaughter, Alaya; uncle, George Shaw; former spouse, Estelle Rodriguez (Nadine and Crystal); confidant, Robin (Whitney, William, and Courtney); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were just as much family.

Dennard was extremely influential on my life when I first moved to Tampa from Memphis TN. We both shared a love of basketball and were roommates from time to time; I could always count on him. His words were always encouraging and his smile was dynamic. There are so many little lessons he taught me that I carry with me to this day. My brother, my friend and mentor in so may ways, you will truly be missed. As we used to always say "LYM" (Love You Man).
