Warren Lyle MacKellar, age 97, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 16, 1928, in Kalkaska, Michigan, Warren lived a long and honorable life defined by faith, service, and devotion to those he cherished.
Warren proudly served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class in the Korean War from September 3, 1948, to August 14, 1952. He was a Korean War Veteran, recognized for his distinguished service with the Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and United Nations Service Medal—honors reflecting his integrity, discipline, and unwavering commitment to his country. He carried these values with him throughout his life.
A man of steady faith, Warren was active in his church community, where he built lasting friendships and lived out his values with humility and grace. His quiet strength, kindness, and reliability made a meaningful impact on everyone who knew him.
Warren is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen; two daughters, Debra (Mike) Maloney and Becky (Cole) Docktor; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and he took deep pride in the generations that followed him.
Warren MacKellar will be remembered for his gentle presence, his deep faith, and the legacy of love and service he leaves behind. His memory will continue to live in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
