Warrine Scott Obituary

Warrine attended Henry High School in Byhalia, MS. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Comfort C.M.E. in Laws Hills, MS. After moving to Aurora, she continued her spiritual journey at Progressive Baptist Church where she became a lifetime member and faithfully services on the Usher Board.
In 1977, she united in holy matrimony with Venson Scott and together they built a life full of love and memories. Warrine dedicated 37+ years at Navistar International until she retired. Upon retirement she heard an active calling as a "caregiver" to serve in the dementia and alzheimer community at Arden Courts in Geneva, IL. She remained there for 8 years. Her compassion and hard work will never go unnoticed, touching countless lives with her care and kindness.
Warrine departed this life Saturday, May 17, 2025. Surrounded by family and friends her legacy continues through her daughter, Cathy Pryor; her grandson, Dominique (Yesenia) Marriner and her 4 great-grandchildren, Dominque Jr., Amýa, Aziah and Kehlani.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her sisters and brothers, Johnnie Mae Sills, Cora Echols, Dora "Betty" Pryor and Mollie Pryor of Aurora, IL, Lee Andrew Pryor of Waterford, MS and John Albert (Flora) Pryor of Anderson, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on May 30, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the Homegoing Celebration to be held at 11 a.m. at Progressive Baptist Church, 275 S. Barnes Rd., Aurora, IL 60506.
