Grand Isle--Wayne Alexander, 62, passed away in University Vermont Medical Center on February 9, 2023.
Wayne was born on July 5, 1960 in Bethesda Maryland, and was a son of Theresa (Perras) and Edgar Wayne Alexander. He spent most of his life in Colchester.
On April 5, 2008 he married the love of his life, Gail Poquette in Fairfax, Vermont. Wayne was an auto body technician for most of his working life for Blondin Brothers. When he wasn’t working, Wayne’s time was spent as an outdoorsman. He really enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoying spending the time with others teaching them the skills he learned himself while hunting and fishing. His joking manner was always enjoyed by others while playing pool and listening to the blues.
He is survived by: his spouse, Gail Alexander, his mother Theresa Alexander, his children, Jon Alexander and his partner Amber of Fairfax and Krystal Alexander of Colchester; his three step children, Jeremy Francis and his wife Shannon of Vergennes, Amy Barbeau and her husband Nate of Cambridge and Danielle Barbeau of Essex., his grandchildren, Rosalie, Elyse, Isabella and Elliana; and his five siblings Lorraine Alexander of Essex, William Alexander and his wife Sharon of Milton, Keith Alexander and his wife Ann Marie of Warwick, Rhode Island, Lisa Alexander and her partner Tony of Raleigh, North Carolina and Brian Alexander and his wife Michele of St Albans.
He is predeceased by his father Edgar Wayne Alexander.
Wayne’s larger than life personality will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Private services are under the care of Minor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milton.

Ron and I lived in colchester and met Wayne through his brother Brain. Our love goes out to all his family. His laughter was contagious and he had a good story on hand for good conversation. Peaceful journey friend.

I will miss you Wayne, working with you for close to 8 years was more than just work. Your love of music, sharing CD's, and great conversation. You were the only Auto Body Person that kept me busy painting. Always amazed how fast, and quality minded you were. I am so saddened.
