Wayne E.F.M. Case, age 69 of Menasha, WI passed away surrounded by his beloved family on May 3, 2024. He was born to Howard Jr. and Shirley (Griffin) Case on November 15, 1954 in Syracuse, NY. A couple years after graduating high school, Wayne joined the US Army during the tail end of the war in Vietnam, where he met and fell in love with Miranda Kerkhof, another soldier. They were married in Sierra Vista, AZ in May of 1975 and together, they raised 4 children, later reconnecting with Wayne’s first son, Jason, from a previous relationship. Wayne earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with an emphasis in psychology and practiced it as a work release coordinator at the Abode Correctional Facility, helping rehabilitate incarcerated people find their true passion and purpose in society.
Wayne was an interesting character for sure. He truly enjoyed his various collections and interests, especially old muscle cars. He was always searching for deals on anything and everything, no matter what they were. As a true patriot, Wayne loved adding to his ever-growing assemblage of knives, swords, and firearms. He especially enjoyed buying jewelry for his wife, Miranda, on the home shopping network. He would do anything and everything for Miranda, including hiking through the woods – something she enjoyed doing, but he joined mostly because he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could. Wayne also loved cooking big meals for his family and Italian food was his specialty. More than anything, though, Wayne loved his family and was so proud of the children and grandchildren he helped to raise.
Wayne will be missed by his wife, Miranda; his children, Jason, Tim (S.O. Sadiqa), Jeremy, Steven (Aleesa), and Kristyn (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Corbin, Autumn, Londyn, Liam, Liliana, Amber, Sophia, and Danielle; his siblings, Howard III, Daryl Ann, and Derek; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Shirley; and his siblings, Stuart and Mark.
A funeral visitation will be held for Wayne on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 2:30-4:00 PM at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N.
