Allen Wayne Copeland, age 68, of Bremen, GA, formerly of Dallas, GA, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. Born on December 1, 1956, in Canton, GA, to Albert Dewey Copeland and Shirley Ann Copeland. Wayne was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend known for his hard work and simple joys.
From his early days, Wayne was always the tough guy, earning a living as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He believed in putting in a good day’s work but also knew the importance of enjoying life and having fun. He loved coffee, camping, and spending time outdoors, often found surrounded by nature with his family.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Albert Copeland; his mother, Shirley Copeland; and his sister, Debbie Parker.
Wayne was a dedicated family man, leaving behind his loving wife of 42 years, Wanda Agan Copeland. He was the proud father of four sons—Allen Wayne “Buck” Copeland Jr. (Shannon), Michael “Mike” (Maureen “Mo”) Copeland, Albert "Chuck" (Kelli) Copeland, David “Shane” (Jennifer) Copeland. and had a special bond with his grandchildren: Brian, Avery, Devan, Mareesa, Dawson, Corbin, Aspen, Kaleigha, and Palin. He also cherished his great-granddaughter, Raelyn. Wayne is also survived by his brother, Lamar (Donna) Copeland, and sisters Glenda "Sissy" Rogers and Gina Wix; several nieces and nephews.
A man of simple pleasures, Wayne loved a good game of cards, particularly Spades, and took pride in his collection of tools and knives. His family will deeply miss his playful spirit and unwavering love. In honor of Wayne’s life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Springdale Baptist Church in Rockmart, Georgia with Pastor Sam Leggett and Rev. Joe Driver officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery with Brian Copeland, Avery Copeland, Devan Copeland, Dawson Copeland, Corbin Copeland, Dustin Copeland, Christopher Copeland, and Dakota Ayers serving as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mareesa Copeland, Aspen Copeland, Kaleigha Copeland, Palin Copeland.
Wayne will always be remembered for his strength, resilience, and the love he shared with everyone around him. Rest easy, Wayne—you will be missed more than words can say.
