Mr. Wayne Crytser

Wayne Crytser, 77 of Monroe, NC passed away in his home on April 12, 2023
He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on August 13, 1945. He was a son of the late Vernon and Thelma Crytser.
Wayne was preceded in death by his siblings, Patrick, Patricia, Ronald Crytser, and Carol Ronngren. His daughter Jean Ganther, and great granddaughter Emma Crytser.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Caskey Crytser, son Randy Crytser (Paula), daughters Lisa Ward (Butch), Melissa Lockey (Michael), grandchildren James Crytser (Hannah), Katelyn Haithcox (Brian), Jonathan Wheeler (Jessica), Tyler Crytser, Drey Crytser, Jenna Lockey, Gabriella Lockey, Aiden Lockey, Connor Crytser, and Briton Lockey, and great grandson Emmitt Haithcox
After serving a stint in the US Army and being deployed to Vietnam he returned home to pursue a career as a Certified Expert Welder. He had a passion for cooking at church functions, fish camps, and family gatherings. Wayne has been described as a loving grandfather, father, and friend. He often showed his love through jokes and banter.
Wayne was a devoted man of Christ and served as a Deacon for many years. He most recently attended and served at Midway Baptist Church. He sang in the choir, participated in Men's Ministry, and had a focus in spreading the word of God to many.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's memory to the Wounded Warriors Project.
