Wayne (Pops) DuBay age 79 of Mary Esther Florida passed away surrounded by loving family on November 18, 2024. Wayne was born to Pearl(Grappin) and Eugene DuBay of Pinconning Michigan on June 21, 1945. Pops was from the old Hank and Elvis Presley era when parents were respected, the Pledge of Allegiance was said and the ten commandments were lived by.
He wasn't a college educated man but his common sense made him smarter than most politicians. Pops could trouble shoot and fix about anything. He spent a lot of time fixing cars for those that were down on their luck, often at his own expense. Pops had big hands and a big heart, he raised several children as if they were his own, genuinely cared about others and hoped he would live long enough to see Trump win the presidency.
He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Richard, Gordon(surviving spouse Ruth), Patrick(surviving spouse Donna), sister Denise(surviving spouse Chuck), stepson Cliff(US Army Vet), daughter-in-law Jenni and grandson Andrew (US Army Iraq War Vet). He is survived by his brothers Ron(Carolyn), and Woody (Laurie) and sister Linda(Mic) Tude Thuot.
Wayne did not serve in the military but raised four proud army veterans: sons Jon(Cheri), Mike(Faye), and Dave(Rhonda). Other surviving family members are Amanda, Brian(Gina), Sandy(Chris) Anderson, Lisa(Jon) Curfman, Shane(Vickey) Stultz, Tasha, his long-time partner Linda Stultz, and the two grandchildren they raised together, Austin and Blake Mitchell. Wayne was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne's final wish would be to listen to "My Way" by Elvis Presley and tip a beer to his memory in lieu of a memorial service.
