Wayne A. Ehlers, 64, of Clearbrook, Minnesota died on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Sanford Bagley Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Old Clearbrook High School in Clearbrook, Minnesota with a visitation one hour prior. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Wayne was born on October 9, 1958 in Bagley, MN to Albert and Inez (Schwartz) Ehlers and was raised in the Leonard area. He graduated from Clearbrook High School and went to work for some local farmers. On October 6, 1979 Wayne was united in marriage to Sheryl Stormo and together they raised their family. They milked cows for themselves and later also other local dairy farmers. Wayne was on the road for a couple of years helping install fiber optic cables before returning to work at the Clearbrook Elevator.
Wayne loved deer hunting. He enjoyed reading and watching his Westerns. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Once he opened up, Wayne had quite the sense of humor and would tease those he liked. He was a very caring father and husband and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Ehlers; his children, Sara (Jason) Derby, Jason (Ashley) Ehlers, and Jonathon (Leah) Ehlers; his grandchildren, Kali, Amya, Dane, Quinn, Trevor, Hayden, and Brylie; his siblings, Earl Ehlers, Fred (Tammie) Ehlers, and Lois (David) Sander; his brothers-in-law, Rick Stormo and Jeff (Jenny) Stormo; his mother -in-law, Janice Stormo; extended family, Donald Cloose; and many nieces, nephews, and other loved family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Inez Ehlers; his sister, Pauline; his father-in-law, Richard Stormo; his brother-in-law, David Miller; his niece, Lisa; and his grandson, Dax.
