Wayne Eric Emrich, of McCook, NE, passed away at the age of 68 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, NE on May 18, 2025.
Wayne was born in Morocco, Africa to parents Wray and June M. (Kleckinger) Emrich on February 18, 1957. Wayne was born into a military family where they were stationed in many places around the world.
Wayne met Pam Boyd at the Pow Wow Club in McCook, and they were married in 1982. This union brought two daughters: Nichole and Heather.
Wayne owned Wayne's Tree Service for 40 years until his retirement in 2022. He enjoyed going to auctions, gambling, and listening to music. He could find all the hidden treasures at the thrift store or while antiquing.
Wayne will be remembered for his hard work ethic and his personal style. He was very personable and enjoyed visiting with people.
Those left to celebrate Wayne’s life are his daughters Nichole Emrich of McCook, NE and Heather (Derek) Harris of Kearney, NE; brother Wray (Patricia) Emrich of South Carolina; sister Linda Blake of Indianola, NE; 3 grandchildren, Gavin Ryleigh, and Makenslee Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are suggested in Wayne's name to be designated at a later date.
There will be a public visitation at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5-7 pm.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home at 11:00 am, with Pastor Eric Helmick officiating.
