Wayne Ewin Obituary
Wayne was a member of the Oakland City Church of the Nazarene. He owned Western Auto/ Ewin Equipment in Oakland City for 47 years. Wayne was loved by not only family, but his extended family and his community and will be deeply and dearly missed.
He is survived by his sister Carolyn Henderson; his sons Randy Ewin, Ralph (Darla) Ewin; his grandchildren, Erin Deppe (Shawn), Hunter Ewin (Lenzie), and Eric and Nathan Giles; his great grandchildren; Carter, Dylan and Spencer Deppe, Griffth, Greer, and Graham Ewin; and Daytona and Aunalee Ewin.
He is preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne; his parents; Ralph and Edith Ewin; his brothers, Raymond and Russell Ewin; his daughter, Rev. Renee Giles; and his grandsons, Zachary and Zane Ewin.
A visitation will be held on Friday January 9, 2026, at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The service will take place on Saturday January 10, 2026, at Oakland City Church of Nazarene at 11:00 am with a visit starting at 9:00 am. Rev. Darin Nossett will officiate. A burial will take place after the service at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Oakland City Church of the Nazarene in tribute to Wayne Ewin.
