Wayne Felt Obituary
RENSSELAER - Wayne Henry Felt Sr., age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Born on April 8, 1950, in Albany, he was the son of the late Arthur H. Felt, Jr. and Frances (Lane) Felt. Wayne was a high school graduate, and spent more than 30 years working as a mixer at Freihofer's Bakery, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Wayne was a proud member of the Melvin Roads Post #1231 and the Rensselaer Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4446. In his free time, he found great joy sailing on the Hudson River aboard his pontoon boat and fishing with his sons. A lifelong car enthusiast, Wayne enjoyed classic cars and spent many years working on automobiles in his younger days. He was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching UFC and boxing.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Dale Marie Felt; his sons, Wayne H. Felt Jr. and James K. Felt; his cherished grandchildren, Catherine, James, and Annastasia Felt; and his brother, Arthur D. Felt.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12 p.m., with burial immediately following in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush. Hi Dale and Family, I´m so sorry to hear of Wayne´s passing... he was Hanks best friend, for many years and often met at for a beer or two??They always joked about being buried near each other, I guess they are... I know Hanks words to him when they see each other will be where have you been,Buddie? My prayers are with you all. R.I.P. Wayne
