Wayne Fournier Obituary
At his home August 30, 2022, Wayne Fournier, 60, of Hamden. Beloved husband of Suzanne Marvin Fournier, loving father of Adam Fournier of Orlando, FL, brother of Roger Fournier, Jr. of Springfield, MA, and Barbara Clark of FL. Wayne was born in Springfield, MA, on March 11, 1962 son of the late Roger and Eileen Fournier. Wayne's passion was marching with drum corps as the drum major for The Whip City Diablos, Yalesville Ancients and the Stony Creek Fife and Drum Corps. He truly loved leading the corps down the road, and more so the friends and family that surrounded him. Mr. Fournier worked for many years for the State of CT. Medical Records for CT. Valley Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in All Saints Cemetery. Please meet at cemetery office at 9:45 a.m. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden. I worked at CVH with Wayne since 2008 and he was a hard-working, tireless employee. His sense of humor was satirical and dry, but it was never at all disparaging or insensitive. His work duties always kept his plate full, but if I ever needed a work issue resolved or question answered, he'd find the time and provide the assistance or answers I needed. I could say that anyone who worked with him knew that for a fact. I was glad to have known him.

Wayne the corps will never be the same without you. You will be extremely missed. You are irreplaceable. THANK YOU for all of your friendship, help and kindness over the years at each scdc event and parade. Your one of those people who I always looked forward to seeing and performing with at every parade and practice. You always made me feel apart of something big and important. You always made me feel integral. That meant more than you knew to me. You took such pride in your role as Drum Major and you were a pro at it! Your professionalism will never be matched. I am grateful to GOD for the time I got to spend with you and getting to know you. Rest in Peace Brother, God Bless You Wayne Fournier. -Steve DiNello
