Wayne Garrant Obituary
Wayne Joseph Garrant, 80, died while working on his farm at home on Friday Dec 12th, 2025. He was born Aug 15th, 1945 to Harry and Anna-May (King) Garrant in Plattsburgh, NY.
Wayne’s first marriage was to Barbara (Trombly) Garrant and they had one son, Joseph Garrant. Barbara passed away in April of 1995. Wayne’s second marriage was to Sandra (Morse) Garrant in Nov of 2004.
He worked in several apple orchards while owning and operating Garrant’s Farm Market and Firewood, which was his passion until the day he died. Despite failing health in the later years, he never retired, he still worked every day selling firewood because it’s what he enjoyed and work was just a part of who he was.
He is survived by his brothers Richard and Eugene Garrant and sister Jan Avallon; his wife Sandra Garrant, son Joseph (Jana) Garrant, and step son Gregory Yeagar; his grandchildren Jessica Garrant (fiancé Andrea Lontine), and Jacob Garrant; also 4 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Anna-May (King) Garrant, his siblings David and Donald Garrant, and his first wife Barbara (Trombly) Garrant.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20 at St. Alexander's Church - 1 Church St. Morrisonville, NY at 11:15 AM, followed by the funeral Mass at 12:00 PM and a gathering for family and friends in the church hall.
