Wayne Henderson, 70, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Wayne was a devoted brother, a cherished family member, and a loyal friend whose steady presence and gentle spirit left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him. He carried himself with quiet strength, offering support, wisdom, and humor in equal measure. He was the kind of person you could count on for a thoughtful word, a steady hand, or a joke that came at just the right time to lighten the moment.
Wayne proudly served as Vice President of AVI Vehicle Logistics Solutions, LLC, dedicating more than 40 years to the company he cared so deeply about. He didn't just go to work each day; he went to a place where he felt a true sense of purpose and belonging. He genuinely loved the work, but even more than that, he loved the people. He spoke with great respect and gratitude about his bosses, Andrew Sr. and Andrew Jr., and treasured the friendships he built with his coworkers over the years. To Wayne, AVI was never just a job. It was a second home, a second family, and a source of pride that stayed with him throughout his life.
Family meant everything to Wayne. He was deeply proud of their accomplishments and celebrated every milestone, big or small, as if it were his own. Whether he was sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply spending time together, those were the moments he treasured most.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Pat Scardina and Donna Khan; his brother, Mark Henderson; his brothers-in-law, Paul Scardina and Tariq Khan; his sister-in-law, Ellen Henderson; and many beloved nieces and nephews who brought immense joy to his life. Wayne embraced his role as an uncle wholeheartedly, offering encouragement, guidance, and plenty of laughter. His love for his family was constant and unconditional.
Wayne will be remembered for his warmth, his integrity, and the quiet kindness that defined him. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A public viewing will take place at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
