Michael J. Henderson

Michael J. Henderson, 60, of Waco, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Michael was born on November 3, 1965 in Garrard County, Kentucky, to David J. and Darlene Spears Henderson. He grew up in the Kirksville Community of Madison County. Michael was employed by UPS and was a member of the Teamsters Local 651 Union.

He was an avid fisherman, making his own spinner bait and had a knack for making fishing lures. His friendly disposition and heart of gold often led to him gifting fishing lures to those around him. The time spent fishing, especially with his uncle, Don Spears, brought him many treasured memories. When not fishing, he enjoyed following University of Kentucky football.

Survivors include his wife: Angela Henderson; son: Michael Joe David "J.D." Henderson; stepchildren: Cherrika McCormick, Samantha Moore, and Alex White; mother: Darlene Spears Henderson; brother: Jerry Henderson (Whitney); niece: Briley Henderson; nephew: Jared Ross Henderson; grandmother: Ruby Maxine Spears; six grandchildren; his beloved dog, Petey; and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Josaile Henderson.

Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond, KY, with Bro. Josh Horn officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Tackett, Chris Wiseman, John Strong, Mike Manass, Steve Collins, Wayne Carpenter, Don Spears, and Harold Spears.

The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
