Wayne Holmes Obituary
Wayne Noble Holmes passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on July 27, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Wayne's journey through life was marked by his unwavering generosity, hard work, and infectious friendliness. He never met a stranger, and his outgoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Wayne graduated from Northmont High School, Class of 1961, and went on to dedicate many years to the family HVAC business.
Outside of his professional life, Wayne had enjoyed watching sports. He was an avid fan of the University of Michigan, the University of Dayton, and the Cincinnati Reds. His love for sports extended into coaching; he volunteered as a longtime coach for girls softball, having produced many successful winning teams.
Wayne leaves behind his beloved daughter, Tracy Holmes, and his devoted sister, Donna (Russell) L. Moore. He is also survived by extended family members including Judy Holmes, Todd (Cindy) Moore, Doug (Kelly) Moore, Amy Frantz, and many great nieces, nephews, and family members who will miss him dearly.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rose Anne Holmes. He will be missed but remembered by his family and friends.
