Wayne Kindrex Obituary
Wayne “Buddy” Kindrex passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Jackson, MS. He was 76 years old.
Buddy was born on October 1, 1949, to Robert Kindrex and Leslie Bailey Kindrex in Jackson, MS and has lived in Florence for the past 64 years. Buddy was a woodworker by trade. He didn’t do it for the job, he did it because he loved it. It was his passion. Buddy was also the maintenance man for Cataphote in Flowood. His other passion was his dogs, Molly and Lady. He loved them very much.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Charla Massingill, sister, Estell Richardson; and grandson, Phillip Skipper, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Martha Dupre Kindrex of Florence; sons, Tommy Kindrex (Stacy) of Florence, and Cory Sykes (Lisa) of Braxton; daughters, Amy Sykes of Florence, and Laura Burney (Will) of Mize; brother, Robert Kindrex, Jr. (Sandra) of Florence; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 nephews; and 1 niece.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
