Wayne Knight Obituary
Wayne was born on December 14, 1943, in St. Albans, Maine, a son of the late Gerald and Evelyn (Patten) Knight. He was a logger by trade and was the epitome of a hard-working man. He was proud to receive "The Logger of the Year" award from the State of Maine. He enjoyed reading, mowing his grass, and doing word searches. He was a strong believer in Jesus and attended the St. Albans Union Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Gerald Knight and wife Angel of Palmyra and Michael Knight and wife Cassy of Skowhegan; grandchildren: Danielle Knight, Erin Vercruysse and husband Taza, Brooke Knight, Tyler Knight, Taylor Knight, Jason Morse Jr, Lindsey Morse, Elijah Knight and Waylin Knight; great-grandchildren: Bentley, Morgan, Elianna, James, Ari, Garth and Jaxon; brother-in-law, Howard Prentiss; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Ken Reed Sr and his children, Ken Reed Jr and Kim McEwen, Aaron and Debbie Neal, and Steve and Mary Covel.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda; great-grandson, Myles; and siblings: Carline Prentiss, Bruce Knight, Bonnie Lancaster, Belinda Welch, and Russell "Hal" Corson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Myles P. Vercruysse Memorial Fund, c/o Cambridge Community Foundation, 99 Bishop Allen Drive, Cambridge, MA, 02139, memo: Mylestones Fund or to https://www.facebook.com/MylestonesFund.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Maloon Cemetery in St. Albans.
