Wayne Langford

Wayne Langford, 76 of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Wayne was born on Thursday, February 17, 1949, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and he was the son of the late Hubert Langford and the late Jonnie Pearl (Bullock) Langford.

Wayne was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Papa, uncle, and friend. As a young man, he grew up on a dairy farm and continued to farm his entire life. He was happiest on his farm surrounded by his cattle and horses. He was a contractor for many years, specializing in new homes, remodeling, and additions. He loved his family, and the highlight of his life was spending time with his grandkids.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marianne Langford; 4 Children, Chris Langford and his wife, Kristi, William Ryan, III and his wife, Katie, Kristyn Ogletree and her husband, Joey, and Lisa Webb and her husband, Jordan; 8 Grandchildren, Caden Langford, Tanner and Coralena Ryan, Devin Long, Dawson and Simon Ogletree, Landon and Kali Webb; Sister, Elaine Tzavaras; Nephew, TJ Tzavaras.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service for Wayne Langford will be held Friday, January 9, 2025, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of the service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
