Wayne Lee Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Morriss Lee announces his passing on January 26th, 2025. Wayne was born on January 9th, 1941, in San Antonio, TX to parents, James Morriss Lee and Ila Mae Holdiness Lee. He lived a full life, surrounded by many family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Wayne was known for his strong faith, dedication to his wife and family, ability to fix anything, clever taglines and his willingness to lend a hand. He took great joy in hunting, NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys. Wayne was a loving spouse, father, brother and friend who was always ready for a game of Mexican Train dominoes.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wanda Gale Cass Lee; son Craig Lee, partners Fred Mosel and Tom Edmonson; daughter Kelly Cooper, husband Chris Cooper and their two children- Connelly Cooper, fiance Caitlyn Cooper and Cameron Cooper, wife Ashley Cooper; son Eric Lee, wife Megan Teel and their children- Kristian Morales, husband Roman Morales with children Joseph, Elijah, Kaden and Rosie- Kendall Lee and Jadyn Stokley; daughter Kristi Lee, partner Jimmy King and their children- Jaxon Hayles, Brady King, Callen King and Lily King; daughter Leah Lee and her daughter- Addyson Tamez. Wayne is also survived by his siblings Sandra Dworaczyk, Jim Lee and Tom Lee- as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and sister Dinah Evans.
The visitation followed by funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 beginning at 1:00 PM at Gause Baptist Church. All who knew Wayne are invited to join in remembering his life.
The family thanks you for your prayers and sympathies during this time. Although no longer here to tell us, his endless stories, jokes and songs will forever be shared and remembered.
