KOSSUTH -- Wayne McMichael, 69, of rural Wapakoneta, passed away peacefully at 4:50 AM Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at his residence, after spending an evening surrounded by his loving family. He won the battle with cancer by meeting Jesus.

He served on several boards throughout his life including Nominating Committee of Farm Credit of Mid America, United Equity, and Salem Township Zoning Appeals Board. He was involved with the FFA Alumni and Young Farmers, serving as an officer at different times.
Wayne was a dedicated worker and provider for his family. He was a lifelong farmer and loved working alongside his dad, brother Roger and cousin Bob in the fields. He also worked for Gallaspie Farm Drainage for several years, while continuing to operate the farm.
