Wayne Meeks

Billy Wayne Meeks, age 62, of LaGrange, passed away on January 21, 2026. He was born on January 24, 1963 to the late Billy Waylon Meeks and Nora Mae Meeks in Carrollton, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Mark Meeks. Wayne retired after a long career in construction. He was someone who loved cooking for his family and watching a good game of college football. He was a loyal LSU fan and proudly wore their 2019 National Championship hat until the end. Wayne also loved fishing, camping, traveling, and a long night of dirt road riding. He was someone who would never say no to an adventure, but would always ask his sister (Ann) "why did I listen to you".

Survivors include his siblings, Billy Jake Meeks (Courtney), Debbie Darlene Meeks, Wanda Mae Johnson, and Sally Ann Phillips; many nieces and nephews; his Trippy; great-nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

The family will have a funeral service at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Private interment will be held.
