Wayne E Miller "Bud" of Marion Center, PA passed away peacefully at IRMC Thursday (January 15, 2026) surrounded by his family.

Bud was born February 20, 1946 in Solley, MD. The Son of the late William Miller and Sadie (Rose)Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Willivene A. (Sokoly) Miller "Jo" and a granddaughter, Gabrielle Miller. He is survived by his children: Shawn (Corinne) Miller of Indiana, Pa and Brian (Jaque) Miller of Creekside, grandchildren: Eva (Brandon) Vought, Grant Miller, Lydia Miller, Zachary Miller and Macie Miller, and his great-grandchildren, Oliver and Wesley Vought. Bud is also survived by his siblings: Nancy Henry of Loveland, OH, Roger (Sharon) Miller of Clymer, PA, Beverly (Mike) Greek of Clymer, PA, Brenda (Steven) Davis of Home, PA, Kathy Hagerman of Indiana, PA, Barry (Louann) Miller of Starford, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bud joined the US Navy where he served on the USS Enterprise CVN 65 from 1964-1968. After serving in the Navy he met Jo and they were married June 14, 1970. Bud worked for the Blossburg Water Authority from 1970 until he moved to Indiana in 1975. At which time he was hired by R&P Coal. He worked at Lucerne 8 and Marshall Run until his retirement. He was a member of the Clymer VFW and the American Legion.

Bud was active in the UMWA over 40 years and was president of his Local until his death. He worked at the District Office in Lucerne Mines for many years.

Even in his retirement he was very active. He helped with his sons' various bands including Country Knights, Tanoma Road, Fire Within and 7 Mile Run Band, being their number one fan. In Bud's free time, he enjoyed camping, spending time with family, traveling, gardening, fishing, working on cars, going to car shows and cooking.

Friends and family are invited to join in a Celebration of Life on Sunday February 22, 2026 at 4PM held at Freedom Church located at 905 McKnight Road, Indiana, Pa 15701
