Edward Wayne Monk, a man known for his kind and welcoming nature, bid farewell to this world on April 1, 2024. He was born on October 29, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to Clyde Wesley Monk, Sr. and Dorothy Fay Richardson. Wayne's unwavering spirit and dedication shone through his career as a dispatcher for White Swan Food Service for three decades and later as a warehouse manager for Professional Plumbers Group in Wylie, Texas for ten years.

In his life journey, Wayne found solace in simple pleasures such as golfing, tending to the yard with love, engaging in card games, and passionately cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. His genuine love for humanity was reflected in his interactions with people; he had a gift of making everyone feel at ease through his heartfelt conversations.

A proud graduate of W.W. Samuell High School's class of 1971 in Dallas, Wayne's proudest accomplishments revolved around his family. He cherished moments spent with his loved ones, especially delighting in watching his grandchildren play sports.

Wayne Monk is survived by his beloved spouse Kathy, daughter Chelsey Kirby (spouse - Josh), sisters Evelyn Barnett (spouse - Richard), and Cynthia Woods, grandson Bryce Wayne Martinez, granddaughter Harlie Kirby, grandsons Dalton Pasley and Colton Pasley, granddaughter Tara Pasley, as well as great-grandchildren Kennedy and Kainan Hughey.

He is reunited in peace with his parents, Clyde Wesley Monk Sr. and Dorothy Fay Richardson, daughter, Melody Pasley, brother Clyde Wesley Monk, Jr., and sisters Connie Smith and Karen Monk.

The memory of Wayne Monk will forever linger in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A visitation will be held Friday, April 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman. The Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, April 6th at 10:30 AM at the same location followed by interment at Kaufman Cemetery at 12:00 PM.

In honoring Wayne's legacy, let us remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for the joy and warmth he brought into our lives. May he rest eternally in peace.
