Wayne Mervel "Mustard" Musser Jr. passed from this life July 18th, 2024.
He was born July 14th, 1937, in Fort Monroe, Va, to Wayne Mervel and Vergie Mildred (McCaulley) Musser. He graduated from Eagle Rock High School in VA.
Wayne entered the US Air Force on June 9th, 1955. He served his country for 4 years in the Air Force and then for 34 years in Civil Service until his retirement.
After his retirement he worked as a repairman and deliveryman for companies including Barrett Drug and All About Mobility. He was very talented and could repair about anything that was broken or in disrepair.
He was married to Audra Nadine Musser until her death. On July 20th, 2001, Wayne married Carol Sue Bassham in Sherman, TX.
Wayne was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church in Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audra Nadine Musser, son, Harold Wayne Musser, daughter, Angela Louise Musser, sister, Virginia Stone and stepson, Mark Stephens.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Sue Musser of Sherman, step-daughter, Julie Milton and husband Tim of Sherman, brother, Tom Musser and sister, Helen Taylor.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, July 25, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman. Rev. Eddy Johnson will officiate along with a military honor guard from Sheppard Air Force base.
