Wayne D. Naquin, born in Donaldsonville on January 4th, 1946, passed away on July 22nd, 2024 at the age of 78 in Baton Rouge surrounded by family and loved ones. Wayne lived his life for his primary three loves in life, he loved his Lord and Savior, he loved his family, and he dearly loved fishing. Wayne lived his life with great pride as a hard worker with a servants heart.
Though born in Donaldsonville, Wayne grew up in the Baton Rouge community, where he received a high school diploma from Redemptorist High School. Soon after High School, Wayne enlisted into the US Air Force, and upon his discharge, he returned to the field of telecommunications, where he proudly worked as an installer for Western Electric for nearly forty years. During this time, Wayne was also ordained as a deacon on January 22nd, 1989 in service of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church.
Wayne D. Naquin is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ann Naquin, as well as children David Naquin (Beth) and Michelle Naquin Bryant (Shane); grandchildren Andrea Naquin Langdon (Andrew), Mandi Bryant Pizzolato (Hayden), Brett Bryant, and sister Sydney Naquin Ishee (Randy).
Wayne will be greatly missed and his memories will be cherished for generations. Per Wayne's explicit request, no funeral or memorial services will be held; privately or publicly. In lieu of flowers or contributions, please consider a donation to the Tunnel to Towers foundation in Wayne's name.
