Cory M. Aubrey was born in Hardin Country, KY on November 25, 1976. He passed away on February 6, 2026, in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 49.
Cory was loved dearly by his wife of 23 years and was a proud father and pawpaw. Family meant everything to him, and he showed that love every day. In his spare time, Cory was a mechanic to anyone who needed help with their vehicle, never hesitating to lend a hand. Making people laugh came naturally to him, and his sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him. He loved listening to music and cooking for his family and friends. He worked for Brown + Root at Evoniks as a Site manager, a role he took pride in and carried out with dedication and integrity. Cory continued to give by selflessly choosing to be an organ donor. His kindness, laughter, and giving spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him forever.
Cory is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Brandy Vaughn Aubrey; children, Haley Miller (Nathaniel), Ashley Aubrey, Bella Aubrey, Noah Aubrey; grandchildren, Silas, Ryder, and Asher Miller; parents, Bobby and Deborah Aubrey; sister, Melinda Aubrey; best friends, who were family, Duane and Tonya Barclay, Casey Laiche, and Julie; in-laws, Tony Vaughn and Kerry Vaughn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Cory is preceded in death by his grandparents, Noah G. Aubrey and Hazel M. Lucas Aubrey and William A. and Ardith F. Goodman Gray; mother-in-law, Candy Grob.
A memorial to celebrate Cory’s life will be held at a future date.
