Dustin Michael Borne passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 44. He was born on March 27, 1981 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was a resident of Denham Springs. He leaves behind a family and community who loved him deeply and will forever feel his absence.Dustin was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Stephanie Taylor Borne, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud and dedicated father to his children, Lawson and Allison Borne. His family was the center of his life, and he poured his heart into being present, supportive, and steady for those he loved most.Dustin found joy in music and was an avid guitar player who loved expressing himself through music. He was also passionate about fitness and spent countless hours at the gym, dedicated to staying healthy and strong. One of his favorite pastimes was going on beach vacations and spending hours on the beach with his family.Dustin was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around, leaving behind countless lifelong friends. His laughter, easy going nature, and ability to bring joy into any room made any gathering better, simply because he was there.Dustin was a graduate of St. Amant High School in St. Amant, Louisiana. Professionally, he was a dedicated and respected employee at Air Liquide, where he worked as a Zone Project Engineer. He truly enjoyed his work and took great pride in what he did. Dustin built meaningful relationships with his coworkers and was known for his commitment, reliability, and strong work ethic. His professionalism and positive presence left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him. He loved his Air Liquide coworkers like family. In addition to his wife and children, Dustin is survived by his parents, Greg and Sherry Borne, father-in-law, Steve Taylor, and mother-in-law, Denise Taylor; and father-in-law Joe Phelps and mother-in-law Lori Phelps. Dustin leaves behind his brother, Jared Borne (Lisa) and niece/godchild Gia; sister-in-law Honesty Howard (Rodriguez), brother-in-law Dewayne Chenevert (Allie); godchild Rex Reynolds; godmother Lola Kinler, and godfather Brad Rouyea.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilson “Gro” and Pearl Babin, paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Irma Borne, uncle Matt Borne, brother-in-law Christopher McLemore, and many other friends and family, including uncle Dennis and aunt Patricia Gautreau, who loved him dearly.Dustin’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know and love him. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on February 10th from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., followed by mass and burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Highway 429, St. Amant, LA 70774. Pallbearers are Lawson Borne, Jared Borne, Scott Reynolds, Gabriel Vicknair, Jason Ourso and Ronnie Dunham. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Boudreaux and Austyn Yoches.
