Wayne Pharr

Wayne E. Pharr, age 74, of Frisco, Texas formerly of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away on January 4, 2026, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX. He was born on April 5, 1951, in Evansville, IN to the late Elmer and Wanda (Carter) Pharr.
Wayne graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1969 and continued his education at the University of Southern Indiana, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1973. He worked at General Electric for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mark L. Pharr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara (Baier) Pharr; his son, David Pharr (Savannah); and his grandchildren, Lily and Isaac Pharr. He is also survived by his brothers, Keith Pharr and Jeff Pharr (Karen); sister-in-law, Tammy Pharr; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his aunt, Shannon Stauber, whom he loved very much.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Rev. Darrell Rice officiating and burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the funeral home.
