Wayne E. Pozdol, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024 at the age of 85. He was born to Edward and Marian (nee Andrus) Pozdol in Hinsdale, IL on November 6, 1938.
Wayne was a Vietnam Veteran, serving thirteen years in the aviation branch of the United States Army and Army Reserves as an airplane pilot. He was awarded an Air Medal with seven Oak Leaf Clusters, an Army Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, a Vietnam Service Medal, as well as a Vietnam Campaign Medal in honor of his sacrifices for our country.
Wayne is survived by his wife Sheila Pozdol and her two daughters Tami May (Mike) Corp and Tracy (Dennis) Moderhack, his sister Joyce (Denis) Cleaver, his brother Dean Pozdol, and niece Pamela Cleaver.
Cremation Rites were accorded for Wayne, and he was laid to rest with his fellow service men and women at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on July 16, 2024.
