Millersburg, OH - Wayne L Raber 76, of Millersburg passed away peacefully at his home following a short illness surrounded by his children and grandchildren on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
He was born on November 27,1945 to Levi and Edna (Troyer) in Millersburg, Ohio. On December 26, 1973 he married Barbara Lee (Edwards) Raber. Together, they shared 48 years of marriage. He was semi-retired from Melway Paving. He enjoyed spending time with all of his kids and grandkids. He loved mowing his fields with his tractor. He enjoyed golfing, Ham Radio, coon hunting, fishing and old western shows and movies. He loved his dog and companion Bella.
He is survived by his 6 children Matthew Raber of West Salem, Ammarita (Edward) Raber of Millersburg, Carmalita Raber of Millersburg, Victoria (Robert) Mackey of Millersburg, Jake (Ronda) Raber of Millersburg and James Raber of Millersburg; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his sisters Lydia Yoder and Lucy Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; his parents Levi and Edna Raber; brothers Adam and Lester Raber; sister Erma Raber; son Timothy Raber; brother in-law Floyd Yoder; grandsons Jesse Raber and Alexander Smeby; and his nieces Stacey Edwards, Melissa Williamson and Leeann Tittle.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2nd at Grace Church, 5850 County Road 77, Millersburg, OH 44654. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3rd at Grace Church with Pastor Larry Kaufman officiating. Burial will be at the residence immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a donation to LifeCare Hospice of Wooster.
