Wayne Reindollar Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wetzel Funeral Home - Hanover on Mar. 2, 2026.
Wayne C. Reindollar, 82, of Hanover, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Sandra J. (Stewart) Reindollar, with whom he shared many devoted years of marriage before her passing in 2020.

Born February 8, 1944, in Hanover, Wayne was a son of the late Raymond C. and Dorothy (Miller) Reindollar. A lifelong resident of Hanover, he built a life rooted in family, hard work, and quiet dedication.

Wayne worked for over 30 years with the telephone company, retiring in 2006 after a long and dependable career. He was known as a private and simple man, yet he was always friendly and kind to everyone he met. Those who knew him appreciated his steady nature and genuine warmth.

He had a wide range of interests that reflected both tradition and curiosity. Wayne enjoyed target and match shooting and was a proud member of the McSherrystown Fish and Game Association. He had a deep appreciation for automobiles of all kinds - from antique and classic cars to modern innovations like Tesla vehicles. In his spare time, he loved tinkering with computers and electronics, and in recent years found great enjoyment in restoring and editing photographs, preserving memories with care and precision.

Wayne is survived by his son, Patrick A. Reindollar and his wife, Connie, of Hanover; his siblings, Darlene Strausbaugh, Dorcus Reindollar, and Larry R. Reindollar; and two step-grandchildren, Justin and Christopher Oberlin.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Reindollar.

There will be no public viewing or services. Following cremation, the family will hold a private burial at their convenience.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Raven Ridge Wildlife Center, Inc., P.O. Box 38, Washington Boro, PA 17582.
