Wayne J Reish, 99, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2025. Born on February 18, 1926, in Howard County, Indiana, Wayne was the son of Paul and Mary Alma (Felps) Reish.
He was a dedicated employee at General Motors for an impressive 42 years, which included exciting business assignments of 5 years in Tokyo, Japan and 5 years in Barcelona, Spain.
Wayne was not just a hard worker; he was also a family man and a community member. He was a founding member of Wesley Free Methodist Church, where he shared his passion for life and faith with those around him. He enjoyed constructing projects and tending to his yard, there was always something keeping his hands busy!
Wayne leaves behind his loving daughters, Becky (Kevin) Zirkle and Sarah (SeJin) Koh, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry on his legacy.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Mae Reish, his parents, two brothers, one sister, and a great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Wesley Free Methodist Church, 3017 W 8th Street Rd, Anderson, IN 46011, Pastor Mike Hopper Officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Wesley Free Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to the Building Fund at Wesley Free Methodist Church.
