Wayne Ritcheson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams Funeral Directors - Garland on Feb. 6, 2024.
Wayne Ritcheson was born in Dallas, Texas on November 23, 1960, to Don Edward Ritcheson and Sallie Rae Green Ritcheson Riddles. Unexpectedly, Wayne passed away on January 30, 2024. He was 63 years old.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and survived by his daughters, Ashlyn and Kirsten Ritcheson, his siblings, Dane Ritcheson, Karen McMillan, and Scott Ritcheson and stepbrothers A.J. and Patrick Riddles.
Wayne graduated from Richardson High School and went on to get his bachelor's degree in Geology with a geophysics option at The University of Texas, Austin.
He worked for almost 25 years at DeGolyer and MacNaughton as a Vice-President and Senior Geophysicist, worked all over the world and retired in 2022.
Wayne was known for his generosity, his warm smile, and his sense of humor. He was an avid golfer and finally got his score below one hundred (we won't mention his handicap). His favorite things were rocks, civil war history, and being a dad. He always had a drawer full of candy and recently conquered his nicotine addiction after 45 years.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, with a viewing at noon and service at one o'clock.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Wayne's name to The Scottish Rite Hospital

We are heartbroken at the loss of our beloved brother. Wayne was always an adventurous spirit who brought his zany humor to every family gathering. He adored his 2 daughters and was so proud of their amazing accomplishments and sweet spirits. We will miss you dear brother.
Love, Dane, Cindy and Kelsey
