Wayne L. Savage, Sr. of Townsend, Delaware passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at age 73.
Wayne was born March 7, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, and was the beloved son of the late Walter Washington and Gertrude Allen.
Wayne married the Love of his life Belinda on February 26, 1971, in Camden, New Jersey. (married 54 years).
He was a skilled carpenter; he was always building something. Wayne loved spending time listening to the "oldies", he loved music so much he built his own studio.
He found great joy in being with grandchildren, particularly during the summer, sharing with them the lessons and values of hard work through outdoor activities.
Wayne symbolized his dedication to Jehovah God on July 5, 1998, along with his son, two daughters and son-in-law. He would get to the Kingdom Hall early to greet old and new friends with handshakes, hugs and he was always joking. One sister even called him brother spiritual.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Savage, Sister, Wanda Allen, and granddaughter Tameka Savage.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Savage, his five children, Wayne Savage, Jr. (Stacy), Bryant Savage, Anita Thompson (Owen), Donald Savage, and Dana Savage. His seven grandchildren, Shanice Savage, Tykeah Savage, Tamara Savage, Zoe Laws, Owen Thompson, Jr., Zaria Proctor (Gavin), and Christopher Savage. Ten great-grandchildren, Jaycen Savage, Deron Hall, Dania Hall, Nia Rae Laws, Tyrice Proctor, Taevon Thomas, River Thompson, Remani Thompson, Braylen Proctor, and Malaia Rose Proctor.
He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Allen Sr. (Beverly), his sister, Ethel Lawrence, and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 300 Elm Street in Smyrna, DE 19977. Service will be live-streamed via Zoom.
