Wayne Schmid, 71 of St. Robert, MO passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

Son of Doris and Vincent, Wayne was born September 24, 1953 in St. Louis, MO.

After graduating high school in Dupo, IL in 1971, Wayne worked for the Columbia Quarry Co. until joining the US Army on September 30, 1977. He traveled the world during his years in the military before being medically discharged on July 28, 1989 in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Wayne decided to lay down roots and raise his family in the small town of St. Robert, MO where he owned and operated J&W Pest Control for 25 years.

Wayne enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was camping, boating, fishing or shooting his guns. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved to ride. Wayne was a proud member of the Shriners, Masons, Widow Sons and of his community. Above all, Wayne enjoyed his role as grandpa.

Wayne was predeceased to heaven by his mother Doris, father Vincent, brother Robert and great grand daughter Malayah.

Wayne is survived by his wife Jennifer of 28 years. Daughter Nicole Schmid(whom he shares with ex wife Cindy) Daughters, Meghan(Ryan) Tichenor and Shannon Head (whom he shares with ex wife Suzanne) and step son Devin Williams. His twelve grandchildren; Jordan, Kaiya, Gabriella, Gabriel, Nathan, MacKenzie, Coltyn, Graycialana, Jaxson, Connor, Kingsley and Tallulah. Great-grand child; Messiah. He is also survived by his sister Diann (Archie) Gummersheimer and nephews; David and Daniel.

Wayne was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, son and friend. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

Graveside services for Wayne will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery located at 25350 SSR-H, Waynesville, MO 65583. A celebration of life will immediately follow from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Pulaski County Shrine Club located at 26920 Shrine Rd., Waynesville, MO 65534.
