Wayne Tarry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Givnish Funeral Home - Cinnaminson on Oct. 4, 2024.
Wayne A. Tarry, 74, of Burlington, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 14, 1950, to Victor and Marie Tarry, Wayne was a devoted husband for 48 years to Maria Teresa Tarry (née Clemente Plou) and a cherished father to Eli Tarry and Maria Michelle Tarry. He was a proud and loving "Yayo" to his granddaughter, Tatijana Liedman.
Wayne was one of 14 siblings and is survived by Monique Ryer (Tarry), Maurice (Sean) Tarry, Jamil (Marcello) Tarry, and Ashanda Eastmond (Tarry). He will be deeply missed by his niece Arianna, cousin Shawn, aunt Beatrice, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Wayne proudly served his country as a Senior Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years. His career took him around the world, with memorable assignments in Spain, England, Turkey, and Germany, before he eventually settled in Burlington, NJ, where he raised his family for the past 30 years. Following his military service, Wayne served as a Plant Manager at American Shower & Bath and later as a General Manager at Interstock Premium Cabinetry.
In his downtime, Wayne was an avid sports fan, particularly fond of boxing and tennis, ensuring he never missed a match. An audiophile at heart, Wayne had a deep passion for music, as reflected in his vast record collection, often relaxing to his favorite tunes. He passed this love of music on to his children, sharing with them both his appreciation for various genres and his joy of listening. He also enjoyed playing both the piano and guitar. A lifelong learner, Wayne was always eager to explore new cultures and would often dive into various topics, following his curiosity wherever it led. He was well known for his love of wine culture, his dedication to family traditions, and his deep love for his family.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, October 12, at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM. Services will also be live-streamed (https://www.viewlogies.net/givnish/66Xm_TK80?pin=493314). In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
