Wayne Arthur Verley

Wayne Arthur Verley, 70, of Silver Lake Estates, Milford, Delaware, passed away peacefully of natural causes on July 30, 2025.

Born on August 18, 1954 in Lewes, Delaware, Wayne was the beloved son of Allan Arthur Verley and Marie Etta Bryan Verley, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Allen James Verley. Wayne is survived by a daughter, Anna Marie, and his devoted sisters – Phyliss Kenton, Joyce Roberts, and Barbara Palias – who will cherish his memory.

Wayne was known throughout his community as a dedicated driver for an automobile services company and the John Macklin and Son company. His commitment to his work was rivaled only by his generosity to his neighbors. Whether lending a helping hand of offering expertise with car troubles, Wayne was quick to assist anyone in need, embodying kindness and reliability in all he did.

In his leisure time, Wayne enjoyed watching old TV shows and movies, often sharing his favorites with family and friends. He had a lifelong passion for car racing, combining his professional skills with his personal interests.

Private remembrance services will be held at a later date. Wayne’s warmth and willingness to help will be remembered by all who knew him.
