Wayne C. Vincent

Wayne C. Vincent, age 75, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Born on April 23, 1950, in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Clifford and Ethel M. (VanVorst) Vincent.

Wayne was a graduate of Linton High School and went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career with Albany Ladder and Equipment Rental, where he dedicated many years of service before retiring as yard manager. He was known for his strong work ethic and steady presence.

A natural tinkerer, Wayne loved working with his hands. He found joy in assembling model cars, fixing anything that needed attention, and spending countless hours in his workshop woodworking and crafting. Music was a constant companion in his life, especially the blues, which he deeply loved. He also enjoyed four-wheeling, boating, and, above all, spending time socializing with friends and family, whose company always lifted his spirits.

He was the father of Cory (Monica Tirado) Vincent, David Gardner, Lana (Darin Chevalier) Vincent, and Toby (Glen) Mistretta; brother of Sandra (Larry) Ellis; grandfather of Liam, Aiden and Quinn Downey, Jordan and Adalia Gardner and Sonny, Taylor and Sammy Vincent. Wayne is also survived by his former spouse, Sharon Vincent and many other loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY 12019.

A prayer service will conclude the gathering at 6:00 PM.
