Wayne Arthur Warden Jr.
beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away August 31, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by his loved ones. Born the eldest of seven boys, Wayne was a natural leader who helped raise his brothers. He is preceded in death by; parents, Mary and Wayne Warden Sr., brothers, Dewey, Charles, Johnny, Edward, and Kenny. He is survived by his youngest brother, Steven Warden, as well as by life-long companion, Sandra Warden; six children, Keelah (Ernesto) Warden, Tabbie (Juan) Warden, Lacy (David) Gilmour, Wayne Warden III (Danyel), Jarus (Lara) Pore and Kim (Octavio) Banuelos; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Wayne was a silent but steady rock for those who knew him, always offering judgment free support without seeking the spotlight. He was the owner and operator of Wayne's Fence Co., known for intricate wrought iron designs and gate operators. Through his work, he taught his children the value of hard work and integrity, lessons that extended far beyond the job site. He was a constant presence at school awards, concerts, and sporting events. An avid fisherman, Nascar fan, and lifelong rider of Harley Davidson motorcycles, he shared his love of the great outdoors, motorcycles, and fast cars with his children and grandchildren. He spent many afternoons and evenings playing cards and dominos, oftentimes teaching the children along the way. He built and raced cars at 81 speedway, and drove in demolition derbies. He was known to be very lucky, especially at the casino and dog track. Wayne had a remarkable talent for fixing anything, and a knack for making his own solutions, like fixing car problems with a simple toggle switch. He had a dry sense of humor and a quick wit that could crack up a room with a single, well-placed retort. His final days were a testament to his strength and selflessness. As he battled his illness, he comforted his family, reminding them that he was not living, but merely existing, and that he was ready to be free from this physical pain, and to be received by the Lord and Savior. He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. His legacy lives on through the lessons he taught without even knowing it, and the wisdom he imparted.
