Wayne Weese Obituary
Born on July 10, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa, he was the son of the late Lester and Vernal Campbell Weese.
Wayne was known by his family to be a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. He enjoyed camping and card games with his family on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.
Wayne and Shirley owned Gabby's Restaurant in Prole, Iowa, where Wayne was a social butterfly. He retired from the trucking industry in 2004, relocating to his family to Anderson County SC. He will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Shirley McCoy Weese; sons: Bryan Weese, Emmert Toelle (Michelle) and Donald Toelle; daughter: Rebecca Young (Jon) and Nicole Weese; brothers: Rocklund Weese (Jodi) and Mike Weese (Pam); sister: Jill McClennan (Ted); 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Larry, Bud and Jack Weese and a sister: Marlene Woodard.
A celebration of life will be held in Des Moines, Iowa at a later date.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory in Anderson, SC is assisting the family with arrangements.
