Merry Weese Obituary
Merry was born on December 26, 1956, in Lewis County, West Virginia. Her first name "Merry" was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the joy she brought to her parents at Christmas. She was the beloved daughter of the late James Lee Weese and Emma Harris Weese.
Merry was preceded in death by her infant son, David Wayne Riffle; her husband, Howard Eugene Riffle; and her brother, Russell D. Weese. She is survived by her two sons, Travis N. Riffle of Portal, Georgia, and Roger D. Riffle of Dickson, Tennessee. Merry also leaves behind her sister, Joyce Law of Weston, West Virginia, and her twin brothers, Ronald of Buckhannon, West Virginia, and Donald of Ohio. She is lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren; Alexa and Howard Riffle of Weston, West Virginia, and Landon, Hannah, and Samantha Riffle of Dickson, Tennessee.
With more than 30 years of service, Merry dedicated herself as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Weston and Central WV Aging Services in Buckhannon.
The caregivers and staff at Autumn Lake affectionately described her as "amazing" and shared that she would be deeply missed. Merry's kindness, patience, and gentle nature touched countless lives, both professionally and personally.
Outside of her work, Merry found joy and contentment in simple pleasures. She cherished swimming, camping, fishing, and four-wheel riding with her family-activities that showcased her adventurous spirit. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with loved ones, always placing them first with quiet strength and unwavering affection.
In accordance with her wishes, Merry will be cremated under the care of Hardman Family Funeral Home's On-Site Crematory of Weston, WV, with interment at Orlando Cemetery. Burial and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
As we remember Merry Elizabeth Weese, we hold close to the words in Galatians 6:2: "God rewards those who bears another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ."
