Wayne Whitefleet entered into rest at his home in Evans, Ga on Saturday, August 10, 2024, aged 79.
Wayne was a Master Plumber in the State of New Jersey for 57 years and a Volunteer Firefighter with the Elmwood Park NJ Company No. 2. When he was not spending time with his family, Wayne loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Whitefleet; sons Wayne Whitefleet Jr (Salvatrice) and Kevin Whitefleet (Rachel); daughter Michelle Holland (Robert); sister Mary Jane Whitehead (William); and grandchildren Torin Whitefleet, Danielle Holland, Zander Whitefleet, Gabriella Whitefleet, Robert Holland Jr, Brandan Whitefleet, David Holland, Grace Holland, and Orion Whitefleet.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Kryne and Violet Whitefleet, and grandchildren Samuel and Christina Holland.
The family will receive friends for visitation the evening Monday, August 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Platt’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Platt’s Funeral Home, Belair Road Chapel, Pastor Matthew Conway officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to either Columbia County Fire Rescue Company 6, 2264 William Few Pkwy, Evans, GA or Elmwood Park Fire Department Company 2, 70 Parkview Ave Elmwood Park, NJ 07407.
