Wayne H. Zaricor

I remember Coach Zaricor from his time as my 7th grade PE teacher at Oak Ridge Jr.-Sr. High School in Orlando, Florida. I had him for gym the last period of the day when the Sunshine State was its most brutal. We had one of our classmates vandalize the Coke machine. Coach Zaricor had all of us run laps for the entirety of the gym class for six weeks as group punishment because he didn´t learn who was responsible for the damage. I found it to be a blessing. My time in a running event, initially 2 minutes, 53 seconds, dropped down to 1 minute, 59 seconds by the end of the semester. Coach Zaricor had said anything below 2 minutes was good. I wonder to this day If Coach gave a break of a second or two. Thanks for the memories, Coach. RIP.
