Weldon Schielack Sr. peacefully made his way to Heaven on November 18, 2025. He was a wonderful man who brought a positive spirit to every room he entered and could tell a story you would never forget. He was humble, gentle, caring, and deeply loving.
Weldon is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Weldon Schielack Jr. and Brenda Schielack; his grandson, Kevin Schielack; and his great-grandson, Kevin Carson Schielack. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Schielack; his brothers, Benny, Edward "Birdie," Jimmy, and Jesse Schielack; his sister Ruby and Uncle Leon; and his parents, Ben and Eleanora Foyt Schielack, with whom he is now joyfully reunited in Heaven.
Born in La Grange, Texas, Weldon was the son of Ben and Eleanora Schielack. He graduated from La Grange High School and went on to build a successful career as a salesman with Neumeyer's Motor Parts. A devoted Catholic, he regularly attended All Saints Catholic Church with his wife, Barbara. Weldon was a devoted father and husband who treasured every moment spent with his family. He loved creating lasting memories with those he held dear. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed hunting in Columbus, Texas, as well as in Colorado with all his brothers and his brother-in-law, and he especially loved fishing at San Luis Pass.
Among his greatest joys were playing dominoes and spending time with his beloved grandson and great-grandson. His family held him in the highest admiration and will forever cherish the memories they made with him.
Weldon proudly served his country as a veteran, holding the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army Infantry in North Korea.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, TX 77055. Flowers may be delivered to the funeral home.
